What's been happening at Roosta towers? Here's an insight into what we're working on, what's inspired us and other random gems of information.
Cleaning up down South
As part of our ongoing relationship with New Brand Guru, we are pleased to be working on a new advertising campaign for Mobi, the portable pressure washer. The CSI style adverts will be running in local and national press throughout the summer, so keep an investigative eye out for our killer designs.
Building Business
Roosta have been appointed by CGV to create a new identity and supporting marketing collateral for their rapidly expanding business. Here's our new logo design, which we believe instantly communicates the companies maintenance and landscaping services – nice.
Mr and Mrs T
A big congratulations to Roosta's Luke Trickett, who married his better half Hannah this month. A fantastic ceremony and evening reception was beautifully captured by award winning photographer Mark Wallis. For further details of their big day check out Luke and Hannah's wedding stationery in our featured projects.
Pride of Place
Luke was delighted to be given two limited edition Jim Datz posters for his birthday, and this weekend he finally got around to hanging the prints. After a "heated debate" with the missus over where the pictures should go, they were eventually given a prime spot (behind the big sofa in the living room), and all it took was the promise of a slap-up meal and new pair of shoes for him to get his way!
The Ricky Rockets
Roosta are only too happy to do a bit of work for "charity mate", so we jumped at the chance to design the new identity for our local under 9's footie team, The Ricky Rockets. It would seem that the new logo has gone down rather well with the design savvy squad, with reports reaching Roosta HQ of enthusiastic players kissing the rocket with pride, after bagging a hat full of goals at the weekend — good skills lads!
Hong Kong and Bali
Luke recently travelled to Hong Kong and Bali for a bit of well deserved R&R. The hustle and bustle of humid Hong Kong was a polar opposite to tranquility and calmness of Bali, especially the wonderful Gili Islands (if you're ever in that neck of the woods we thoroughly recommend the private beach cinema with a Bintang or two). Both destinations were magical in their own way, the snaps above perfectly encapsulate the contrasting cultures that he experienced on his visit.
Richard Returns Just!
Here is a snap from a recent stag doo weekend which Luke attended in beautiful Bratislava for his good pal Richard 'Rookie' Waller. Apologies for the poor picture quality which is due to the Iphone's sub standard camera and the tipsy phot
Dead Proud
We were dead chuffed to be asked to contribute to World Class Rivals up-and-coming Deadly Sins project. We were tasked with creating two illustrations to represent chastity and lust. Here's a sneaky peak of our chastity design. We would have loved to have posted the lust design too, but we were worried it might get you in a spot of bother if you're viewing this website at work!

Congratulations and Invitations
Congratulation to Roosta's good friends Tim Bennett and Karen Glenister who recently announced that they're finally getting hitched after seven years of living in sin! Roosta were only to happy to lend a hand with the design of their invitations, which featured cheeky text and playful illustration throughout, perfectly embodying the couples fun filled personalities. Congratulations guys here's to a long and happy marriage. Click here for more details of this project.
R.I.P Patrick
Sad to hear that the legendary Mr McGoohan has passed away. I was recently introduced to the brilliant 1967 The Prisoner show, and without wishing to sound like my Dad "they really don't make them like that anymore". Which was confirmed beyond any doubt by ITV's shambolic attempt at a remake — poor old Patrick would be turning in his grave!
You're only supposed to blow the bloody candles out!
This year Luke will be celebrating his birthday in style at top London bozzer The Old Crown. Perfectly mixed mojtios, The Italian Job on the big screen and a quality DJ all night, what more could you ask for? How about a beautiful balanced invitation giving you all the details…
